THANK GOODNESS ...it is Friday. Think IM counting the days more so than the students. One more week and we will be out for Thanksgiving. This year will be very strange for me. WE wont have our get together at Mary Haley's, John is on his bike trip, and who knows what Ben will do. Really looking forward to Chris coming home. It will be a nice holiday no matter. Im thinking of going over to see Lindas for a few days when I get out. Might go on a short bike trip also. Just looking forward to time off......to just chill out or whatever.
Today was a good day since Mama Smith is ok and didnt have to go to the hospital. I was worried about her for a while. Then Betty Jane called to let me know ,all was ok for now and I didnt need to go up to stay with Pattie and Mary Rose. She will call if she needs me.
John and Joe seem to be having a great time. IM so excited for them, getting to see all the new things they have experienced. SURE wish I was with them though..... Ill take my trip this summer when school is out. Thinking about riding out west....but will have to go it alone. They will all be farming.

UPDATE....John called about 5 my time, they had just crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and were standing at Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco. They were looking out over the water at the prison I asked him if they were going out there to get a room. Were going to head on south toward LA before stopping for the night. He sounded excited....know he is enjoying himself.
Enjoy your week end...........

This was a great week end. For most of you that know me, know the most important people in this world to me are my son's, Sydney, Sam, Linda and Lou Lou, the girls, and John. I got to spend the week end with all but Ben , Sydney, Chris and John. Did get to have a short visit with Chris Thursday night. We had a girls week end to give Becka a baby shower. It was wonderful. Friday night several of us went out for dinner to PF Chang's. Then, Saturday morning we all gathered up , headed for Mistletoe Market Place to stop til we dropped. Had lunch at Pepper , then split up to do our own thing for a while. Most of the girl shopped at the Renaissance ,but Lou Lou and I went to get Sydney a few things. And of course, we had to watch the Alabama / LSU game since Mary Ann and Nance are true TIDE rollers. Bama did end up pulling it out in overtime. Sat night was set up for BECKA and getting ready for MINI Mc. We ended up with a group of 17 for the shower. Becka's Mom , Grandmother, Aunt and other family members joined us ( the McIntyre side) at Bon Ami. There we had dinner , fellowship, and opened the loot Becka and Jeff got. They did good! ! !
Oh my....then the fun started. At the hotel all came together in Linda's room to wind down the night. No surprise to us, Millie was full of herself as she put on a pair or Lou lou's glasses, with hair up in a clippy ,then gave us her version of SARAH PALIN...........oh my gosh did we laugh.
The YA YA girls had to model the T shirt John got for us in Alabama on the way home from the Neil Diamond concert. As the T shirts say "Dance, party, sing....it's a YA YA thing" For sometime now Linda, Lou Lou, and myself have called ourselves the YA YA girls , this makes the T shirts very suitable.
Sunday morning all the McIntyres relatives joined for breakfast at some Java place for breakfast and to say our good byes. Each of us then got in our cars and went our separate way til next time.
I love my family , enjoy and Cherish anytime I get to spend with them. Love you girls til we meet again.

The elections are over..............the outcome is what it is. Only time will tell Americans if they made a good choice. For me, I am very concerned. I believe the new young voters will be in for many disappointment. I just hope that God takes our country into his hands, holds us and guides us.
This week at school is almost over. It has been uneventful so far.
Hope all of you are having a nice week.
More later.

Our trip to Orlando was great. We left Sat. travel to Demopolis Al and stopped off at the Bama Bike Fest . That was a real experience.............Then went on to spend the night at Linda's house. Was great getting to have a short visit with her. Of course the weather turned COLD.......every time I ride my bike to Florida it turns cold. Record cold TEMPS all over the state. We took our time getting to Orlando making a few fun stops. Stopped at an old bar hang out of the "Ma Barker gang". Made it into Orlando with no problems and right to our hotel and checked in. After getting some supper we hit the sack. The next Monday went to Universal Studios. Did a few of the shows there , walked around , and got ready for the concert. That was the whole purpose for the trip. This was a dream come true for John. He has wanted to see Neil Diamond for quite a while. This was his birthday present to himself, and he was sweet enough to share it with me. We had the greatest seats. On the 8th row center stage. The man put on a great show. Sang for a good 2 hours and he is a great performer. Took our time coming home. Road along the coast line for a good part of the trip. Once we reached Mobile hit the interstate and ran it on in. Betty Jane was sweet enough to bring Taffy home for me. Now John is getting ready to head out for California on his bike Wed. He and Joe will be leaving early Wed. They will be gone about 3 weeks.
Will add more later.
